Wine Reviews

Lugana, Zenato, San Benedetto IGT ‘03
Made from the Lugana clone of Trebiano and a very small amount of Chardonnay this wine offers bright clean start with a soft finish of melon and pear.

Passamaggio, Santa Anistasia, IGT ‘02
The renaissance in Italian wine making is alive and well in Sicily. Passamaggio blends the indigenous Nero d’Avola with Merlot to produce the lush full bodied red. You can taste the warm Mediterranean sun in this wine.

Aglianico, Irpinia, Terredora Dipaulo IGT ‘03
Aglianico is one of the oldest grape varieties commercially grown, records indicate as far back as 2500 BC. Grown in the hills outside of Naples it was a favorite of the Romans and balances rich berry flavors with well structured tannins.

Sicilia Rossa, Collosi IGT ‘02
Made from Nero d’Avola, the primary red grape variety of Sicily this wine offers great upfront fruit balanced with fine tannins for a velvety finish.
